Dario Müller was born in Lübeck, Germany in 1987. He studied in 13 international schools and completed his A Levels at the Ludwig-Uhland-Gymnasium in Kirchheim unter Teck, Germany in 2007.
He holds a Bachelor of Law Degree (LL.B.) from the University of Nürtingen-Geislingen (Germany) and part of his degree course was spent at Abu Dhabi University studying Arabic and Arabic Law. He holds a Masters in Métiers de la mode et du textile from Aix-Marseille University (France) and a DESU (Diplome des études superieures universitaires) from Aix-Marseille Graduate School of Management, IAE. He is did his PhD at the Aix-Marseille Graduate School of Management, IAE (Aix-Marseille University). He has also been a visiting PhD Candidate at Harvard University, the University of California, Berkeley (Haas School of Business) and the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (Centrum PUCP), where his research topics were Digital Marketing, Consumer Behavior and E-Commerce. He completed his Master of Laws (LL.M.) in "International Studies in Intellectual Property Law" at the TU Dresden and University of Strasbourg (CEIPI).
He has worked in the German Parliament for Dr. Peter Ramsauer, former Federal Minister and Chairman of the Committee of Economic Affairs and Energy of Germany. In 2019 Dario was named the first Ambassador of France Alumni in Germany by H.E. Anne-Marie Descôtes, Ambassador of France to Germany. It is an official honorary title of the French Republic that he will hold for the next five years.
Dario Müller began his remarkable entrepreneurial career and success story in March 2006 when he founded his own company, DARIO’S at the tender age of 18. The e-commerce company soared to international success within an incredibly short space of time due to Dario Müller’s single-minded focus on providing only the very best quality sustainable products from Europe to his discerning customer niche. He frequently gives lectures and talks at various universities in Germany, France and Italy on topics like “High-End E-Commerce”, “Digital Marketing" and "Entrepreneurship". He can lecture in German, English, Spanish, Italian and French. Since 2021 he is Associate Professor of Fashion Management at IU International University in Germany.

Dario’s Heritage: Germany and Peru
His Peruvian grandmother, Hilda Palacios Santillan (1932-2017), was a biochemist and pharmacist, and one of the youngest women to obtain a degree from the National University of San Marcos in Lima (Peru). Winning various competitions, she became one of the foremost and recognized scientists in the field of biochemistry from Peru.
His Peruvian grandfather, Pascual Sanabria Verástegui (1924-2005), PhD, a chemical engineer with a PhD in education from the National University of San Marcos in Lima (Peru). He founded four schools named “San Marcelo” in Lima (Peru) and the first part-time university in the country: The Instituto de Educación Superior Pedagógico Privado “San Marcelo”. His innovative educational concept inspired Peru's modern educational system.
Dario’s German great-grandfather, Dr. Hans Bürgin (1904-1977), was born in Lübeck. He received a PhD from Christian-Albrechts-University in Kiel and was one of the most acclaimed Thomas-Mann-researchers, as well as a friend of the Nobel Prize laureate himself. He published several books about him, among them “Thomas Mann. A Chronicle of his Life,” which he published together with Dr. Hans-Otto Mayer at the S. Fischer Publishing House in Germany
DARIO’S (www.darios.de) was founded in 2006 by the then 18-year old entrepreneur Dario Müller. Initially, the business began with the import and export of Swiss watches. The first DARIO’S mail order catalogue was published in 2008. This was the very first German catalogue where you could order a supercar for 1.8 million euros, a yacht for 45 million euros and you could even book a journey to space! The company expanded into the international market in 2012, when it offered a football signed by no less than the US President Barack Obama himself. The ball was put up for auction in the name of the the Sautii Kuu foundation of Dr. Auma Obama. In 2009, DARIO’S became the first online retailer in the world to be given an official license to sell Cartier, Chopard and Bulgari. The company is also an authorized dealer for other prestigious brands like Versace, Baccarat, Roberto Coin, Fendi and Montblanc. DARIO’S is the Geman pioneer when it comes to the marketing of luxury brands in e-commerce. The company works together with selected foundations, most notably the Jane Goodall Institute and the Sauti Kuu Foundation.
